Frog Tongue

This photoshop project was definitely... Interesting. When I first looked at it, it looked a little bit... Disgusting and grotesque to be honest. But, it was actually a lot of fun, and not as difficult as I thought with the angry pancake project behind me. Now looking at it, I think it is actually pretty cool, and I'm proud of what I have done and know that I can accomplish in the future. The pattern copying cool (When moving the tongue onto the frog) was what I found the most challenging, but also very fun. The obstacles and challenges are what made the project fun, having to be tedious and work through them. I like that I did this, because it is something that looks like it would be in a commercial or something, like how they photoshop in advertisements? I don't know what this would be advertising... Frog lipstick? I don't think I want to go into marketing or anything, but, I'm glad I've learned how far art extends. It can be found in almost anything, even created on the computer, or with other technology! In this project I learned how create more realistic looking art, with a idea based on fantasy. Which is the art I like most, filling real world things, with unrealistic ideas.

Angry Pancakes Om Nom Nom

For this project, I was following along with the video very carefully. I haven't used photoshop for a long time and I have never used it excessively. I found making the mouth the perfect shape the most difficult. Cutting out the jaws was also very annoying and tedious. I could never select a section and I ended up with marching ants and lines all over my picture! The layers were also very confusing, it makes more sense now to have labeled them... While adding my blueberry spots, I could not remember which layer was which. It also began to slow down, and I could not finish blending all of them into my little pancake piranha monster. But, it was really fun, I liked it none the less. I wish that I had labeled my layers and I will remember to do so next time. But, I believe my spots and eyes make my angry pancake much more unique, and I will probably use photoshop more often in the future to further my skills!
